Next Steps for Bringing Home a Low Shed Lab Pup Puppy
Congratulations on choosing Low Shed Lab Pups for your new Labrador Retriever puppy! We know you're excited, and we're here to guide you through the process of welcoming your furry friend home. This guide outlines the steps involved and provides a checklist to ensure a smooth transition.
Step 1: Reserve Your Pup (Optional)
If you have a preference for color or gender, you can reserve your puppy by pick number. Earlier picks get priority for color and gender choices.
Step 2: Tell Us About Your Family (Optional)
To help us match you with the perfect pup, send an email to Admin@USAPurebredLabs.com with some details about your family:
- Ages of children and other pets in your household (if applicable)
- Lifestyle (active, walks, etc.)
- Do you have a pool?
- Previous dog experience (if any)
Step 3: Personality Testing (Around 7 Weeks)
At 7 weeks old, we conduct temperament and aptitude testing on our puppies. The results will be posted on our Facebook page and you'll be notified via email or text.
Step 4: Prepare For Your Pup Going Home
Recommended Items:
- 42" Crate
- 36" - 48" Playpen
- Variety of Toys
- Food & Water Dishes
- Costco Puppy Food, High Quality Puppy Food, or Raw Food Diet Plan
- Training Pads
- Rotisserie Chicken for Training Treats
- Training Clicker
- Learn Concepts of How to Train your Pup
Step 5: Choose Your Pup
Once the temperament test results are available, you are invited to choose your puppy by collar color on a designated day, families are invited to interact with the pups, consult with us, and select your pup. If you can't make it, we can usually accommodate a Facetime or Zoom video. We recommend reviewing the test results to find the pup that best suits your lifestyle.
Step 6: Payment and Pick-Up (7-8 Weeks Old)
- Pups typically go home between 7-8 weeks old.
- Full payment is due by your designated pick-up time slot, or your deposit will be forfeited.
- We offer optional boarding for an additional fee if you need to delay picking up your pup.
